Feeding your news to the world

MAD Australia Productions

Announces Video Newsfeeds!

Tuesday, June 21, 2011

Alerting the world to your words in business has traditionally been an expensive exercise.

Now, one Adelaide marketing company has developed a concept that allows businesses to deliver their message for a fraction of what it once cost.

The idea is called a Video Newsfeed and it entails businesses delivering their message in a newsroom setting and having it broadcast to the world.

The concept was developed by Mr Craig Douglas, CEO of MAD Australia Production to meet the demand of clients who needed a cost effective way of talking to customers and potential customers.

“In our experience developing marketing and promotional strategies for businesses, we discovered people pay more attention to information delivered by a newsreader or, a reporter speaking to camera from an appropriate location, that appeared to be emanating from a news service,” said Mr Douglas.

“What we do is craft corporate messages into newsworthy items to create a video newsfeed using the magic of green screen.

“Businesses find newsfeeds particularly useful to brand themselves as experts in their industry, and welcome the opportunity to avoid ‘hard selling’ and instead give real information that has value to viewers.”

MAD Australia Productions comes of age!

MAD Australia Productions comes of age!

Adelaide launched eME spreads to Victoria

The popular eME, developed in Adelaide by MAD Australia Productions, has grown a leg and launched in Melbourne.

eME Victoria, under licence to MAD Australia Productions, is being organised in Melbourne by Journey West Media, an established production house.

The eME is a no-fuss method of communicating an electronic message to an unlimited audience in the time it takes to hit “send”.

It has been used by a variety of businesses to attract new customers, re-connect with existing customers and communicate a message on any subject.

“It is the most cost-effective way of communicating to a mass audience in an intensely personal manner,” said Mr Craig Douglas, CEO of Mad Australia and the person behind the original eME.

“While it was developed primarily as a business tool, we’ve found even individuals have found uses for it such as helping them in searching for a job or alerting a long list of friends to an event.

“While it’s great news that it has been picked up by an established Victoria production house, the even more exciting development is that through the Victorian connection, we are in negotiations with an American production house that is keen to offer the eME to a world audience.”

An eME runs for between 30 seconds and a minute  which, according to Mr Douglas, is all the time you need to deliver a pithy message that can change the way the world thinks or, at any rate, change the way the world thinks about you.

eME the obvious choice for tech savvy corporates

Mad Australia Productions has introduced eMEs as the new way for businesses to communicate and self promote.

An eME is a video file that links to a digital document. It's fast, punchy and gets a direct message to a target market. It can instantly put you on the desktop of potential business partners.

"The launch of the eMEs has been like introducing the latest social media lubricant," said Mad spokesman, Mr Dale Ross. "It has produced a small frenzy of activity on Facebook with with flexible, one-size-fits-all eMEs, introduced by Mad's new CEO, Mr Craig Douglas."

The hundreds of eMEs already out there are helping business owners launch products, explain a system, announce a sale or simply connect with existing and new customers.

It was the clients of Mad Australia Productions who suggested different uses for the eMEs - such as very economical advertisements that can be played on the internet and even the floating of a business idea to gauge public reaction - in fact anything that can be enhanced with a simple videoed preface.

Video is well known to be the number one converter to sales on the internet and no product has quite captured the imagination of business leaders or provided such a simple, economical and effective delivery.

The eME is available to any business that wants to promote online via video. Mad Australia Productions looks after everything from scripting through to directing and even presenting on behalf of the client if they are looking for a professional presenter.

MAD announces creative mentoring program

MAD Australia Productions is calling for applicants for MAD Mentoring 2011. The company is a creative video production & advertising company that supports South Australian artists.

It has helped launch the careers of South Australian film industry professionals for the past three years.

MAD attracts filmmakers who are looking to kick-start their career, or build a strong portfolio of work in a fun, relaxed working environment conducive to making movies for the corporate market as well as high art.

The MAD Mentorship Program is designed for filmmakers who present with exceptional talent, a ‘can do’ attitude, and a willingness to learn.

MAD Mentorship is a venture that began in 2007 to grant unique opportunities for promising artists. Each year MAD selects between one and three applicants to be part of the program which is valued at $137,000.00 per applicant (scholarships are available).

Every participant who has completed the 12-month program has gone on to gain full-time employment in the multi-media industry.

MAD Mentorship is a rare and carefully devised program designed around each individual participant. It is exclusive and the expectations are high. Participants should prepare to be tested and challenged to be the best they can be.

MAD Mentorship gives people the opportunity to take on the role of their choice and trains them in their field with a very hands-on approach that no tertiary institution can match.

The aim of the mentorship program is to provide selected participants with the skills and support structures required to kick-start their career in the industry. The objective is to provide ongoing mentoring, on-the-job training, assistance for their personal media projects, feedback on performance, recognition for their work and introductions to key players in the industry.

MAD’s aim is not directly to skill participants for a job, but rather equip them with the necessary insight and networks to be able to forge a career for themselves in the industry, whether that be via an entrepreneurial enterprise that they set up themselves, or any other means.

“We are very mindful of the fact that in Australia a large percentage of filmmakers are either self-employed or contractors rather than employees,” said Mr Dale Ross, supervisor of the MAD Mentorship.

“We aim to cater to this in a way that tertiary institutions are not equipped to do so. It is one of the aspects of the MAD Mentorship that make it so appealing.”

No formal level of education is required, however all successful applicants in the past have completed tertiary education in Screen Studies or a Creative Media related course at a University or TAFE college. The creative media industry is highly competitive but all applicants including those without formal education are encouraged to apply because it is possible for them to meet the selection criteria without having studied at a tertiary level.

To apply for consideration – please contact Craig Douglas or Dale Ross, pioneers and producers at MAD Australia Productions on (+618) 8244 7880.
